Matt founded Complete Game Baseball & Softball Instruction in 2011 and began his own baseball and softball training program over 20 years ago. Matt played baseball at Iowa State from 1996-1997 in the old Big Eight Conference. Following his sophomore season, he transferred to the University of St. Thomas where he led all of Division III in RBI in 1998. At UST, Matt was a two-time All-American and finished his career with a .431 AVG helping UST to a 1999 National Runner-Up finish. After his collegiate career, Matt played three seasons of independent professional baseball.

Faulken joined the coaching staff at his alma mater, St. Thomas, from 2010-2012. During his time there as hitting coach, the Tommies made three NCAA regional appearances including a 3rd place National finish in 2012. Faulken established a foundation for a UST offense that would churn out seven All-American hitters from 2011-2014.

In his 20+ years of training, he has worked with over 400 athletes who have gone on to play collegiate baseball or softball. Matt works with CG hitters of all ages and skill levels in both baseball and softball including many members of our MN Moose club. In addition to training, Matt also oversees every hitter in our club baseball program spending his weekends at the ballpark with a different CG team each day.
